These cameras feature the ability to capture 3 megapixel stills in 2048x1536 resolution. It will also capture digital video in 513x384 resolution.
If you expand the memory via a standard 2GB SD card (sold separately) you can record up to 56 minutes of video with sound at 30 frames per second.
To be straight forward, this is not an expensive camera or necessarily the highest quality digital camera on the market. It's not going to take incredibly stellar stills or video that you would expect from a $1000 camera. However, due to its inexpensive price and very small size, you can mount it (with its own "click mounting" system) to the exterior of a car, motorcycle, helmet, etc. and not give much thought about losing or damaging the tough little camera. The Motorsports Hero is also waterproof, so it's good for any weather you can throw at it.
This is the perfect device to capture car club cruises and events, racing footage, in-car camera, suspension travel, brake glow, dyno pulls, etc.
It's a great, inexpensive way to show off your ride, driving/riding skills, events, etc.
These cameras have been used by editors and journalists from top publications with great results.
The camera is USB compatible, includes all necessary cables. It runs on AAA batteries and includes two batteries. We recommend upgrading to a good rechargeable battery setup as you would with any digital camera.
